Julian Gooding is a media producer, storyteller, educator, and foodways historian with more than four decades of experience in television and multimedia production. His work explores the histories, traditions, and cultural connections of diverse communities through storytelling, oral history, film, and foodways, with particular attention to African and African American experiences. He has contributed to programs with the International African American Museum (IAAM), presents regularly at McLeod Plantation Historic Site, and has provided media support for Netflix’s acclaimed series High on the Hog. Through his programs, Julian brings history to life by connecting culture, memory, food, and story.
